It should also be that the cup for the drink is warm. Otherwise, doppio will lose some of its own taste and smell.
- Then the holder is inserted into the device and the water inlet is turned on. Doppio should take 25-30 seconds to prepare. The volume of the finished drink is approximately 90 g.
This drink is prepared quickly and must also be served hot. Don't wait for it to cool down. It is recommended to drink coffee as early as possible. It is better to serve it in thick-walled cups. This way, this coffee drink will better maintain its highest temperature.

- 14–18 g of coffee, more coarsely ground than for espresso;
- 120 ml water.
Due to the coarser grind, water flows through the coffee tablet faster than when brewing espresso. The classic doppio lungo takes 30 seconds to prepare, but the portion is twice as large as doppio espresso.
The calorie content of a serving of doppio lungo without sugar is 4.5 kcal, with sugar – 23.85 kcal, caffeine content – 100–200 mg (the longer the extraction lasts, the more caffeine in the drink).
What is espresso?
