Vietnam is currently the largest producer of Robusta, the second largest in the world. The drink has been adopted with regional variations. Due to limitations in the availability of fresh milk (as the dairy farming industry was still in its infancy), the French and Vietnamese began using sweetened condensed and dark roasted coffee.

Tapioca from Thailand - what is the value
In the tropics you can find edible plants that do not grow anywhere else. One of these is tapioca. Cereals or sago from it are used not only for adding to iced coffee. The cereal is suitable for preparing first and second courses. This is a high-calorie product that is well and quickly absorbed in the body.
Ice coffee with tapioca is healthy, and here's why:
- Cereals contain a lot of calcium. Considering the fact that caffeine is a diuretic and, together with liquid, removes calcium ions from the body, tapioca immediately replenishes it.
- Caffeine does not have a harmful effect on the nervous system, since tapioca contains a lot of vitamin B, which restores neural connections and strengthens them.
- The presence of choline cleans blood vessels and protects them from cholesterol plaques.
- Contains potassium, which restores normal heart function and removes excess water from the body.
For people who are gluten intolerant, tapioca is indicated as a dietary food. By adding cereal to iced coffee, you can increase the calorie content of the drink.
Interesting! The unpeeled roots of the cassava plant contain a lethal dose of hydrocyanic acid, but the technology for preparing sago involves prolonged soaking and drying of the product. As a result, the cyanide evaporates
In addition to iced coffee recipes at home, you can make tea with tapioca, add balls to yogurt and milk, as well as juices and alcoholic cocktails.
First, you need to boil the sago. To do this, take 1 part tapioca balls and 8 parts water. Further:
- To boil water.
- Drop in the balls and stir until they float to the top.
- Cook for 15 minutes.
Gradually the sago changes color to black. After preparation, it is stored without refrigeration for no more than 12 hours.
