Hello, dear readers! Today we have again a popular women's topic article. So guys, wait a little. You will soon receive a portion of interesting construction information...
In a world dominated by innovative technologies, the fashion for “handmade” has burst into a powerful whirlwind, sweeping away everything in its path. Beautiful young ladies sew, weave, knit, glue and sculpt, creating dizzying compositions. It would seem that there will be no demand for home masterpieces, since stores are full of all kinds of products.

However, handmade items break all records. It is quite difficult to single out the most popular branch in “hand-made” art, but we can confidently say that soap making holds the golden scepter of power. Why? This is elementary, Watson: scented soap created at home is different:

  • cheap - products can be purchased for pennies;
  • accessibility - the ingredients are sold in pharmacies, beauty shops, grocery stores, and grow in the garden, field, orchard, forest. That is, it won’t be difficult to get them;
  • effectiveness - homemade soap is incredibly healthy, since it contains a number of vitamins, minerals and amino acids necessary for beauty and health;
  • safety - there are no harmful substances (well, if the soap is not brewed for an envious friend or rival);
  • Easy to prepare - does not require special skills.

How to choose a recipe? It's simple, you need to start from the condition and type of skin. In addition, you should prepare several types of product - one for cleansing, and the second for scrubbing. For what? Did you know that scrub soap is a cosmetologist-magician who works miracles! No? Okay, first things first.

Consumables and tools

With a little patience and skill, you will end up with a fragrant, natural soap that cannot be compared to store-bought soap. To create it you will need:

  • soap base weighing 6 grams, transparent or white;
  • glycerol;
  • vitamin E;
  • soft gel capsule.

In addition to the listed components, you will need to prepare dry ingredients:

  • lavender flowers;
  • coffee or cocoa beans;
  • coconut;
  • dried orange slices;
  • dried hibiscus flowers.

Also, stock up on:

  • lavender essential oils;
  • peanuts;
  • coriander;
  • cinnamon.
  • 95% isopropyl alcohol/rubbing alcohol (removes bubbles from top of soap).

Prepare the following materials:

  • silicone soap mold (holds about 100 g).
  • microwave safe container.

Sea salt scrub soap

Ingredients:

  • transparent soap base 100 g;
  • care oil 1 tsp;
  • fragrance or essential oil;
  • coarse sea salt 50 g;
  • dye;
  • bottle of alcohol.

The pan is filled with water and heated without removing it from the heat; a glass with chopped base and added butter is placed inside. When the base begins to melt, the mass is stirred and a coloring pigment is added, and lastly, essential oil and salt are added. The scrub soap is poured into molds and sprinkled with alcohol. The finished salt scrub soap may release droplets of moisture for several days, which is a normal process.

Creating the Foundation

The sequence of actions in the soap making process looks like this:

  1. Take 100 g of soap base and cut it into small portion cubes.
  2. Melt in the microwave for 30-45 seconds, being careful and note that you do not need to boil the soap. Therefore, check how the mass behaves from time to time.
  3. After the soap base has completely melted, let the soap cool slightly.
  4. Now you can add oil, vitamin E and dry ingredients which will provide the exfoliating effect. Mix everything together for a minute, then pour into a silicone mold.
  5. Let the mass cool and harden for about 2 hours, after which you can put the molds with the future soap in the refrigerator.

Advantages of soap with scrub effect

The beneficial properties of soap with abrasive particles were appreciated by our ancestors and they regularly used mixtures whose main ingredients were salt, coffee, nut shells, etc. Millennia have passed, but soap with hard and small particles has not lost its relevance. And why? Because a natural cosmetic product:

  • accelerates blood circulation;
  • activates metabolic processes;
  • stimulates the production of collagen and elastin fibers;
  • promotes weight loss;
  • eliminates cellulite;
  • removes dead cells;
  • enriches with vitamins, minerals and amino acids;
  • saturates with moisture and oxygen;
  • deeply cleanses;
  • removes harmful substances and excess liquid;
  • makes the skin soft, elastic, tender.

Scrub soap is incredibly useful for the body, hair, and face. Now let’s figure out how to make such a useful product.

How to give soap an unusual shape

Those involved in home soap making pay special attention to the shape of the product. Everyone wants to end up with not a shapeless piece of soap, but an exclusive product with an unusual shape. For this purpose, special molds of a wide variety of shapes are used. The choice of molds is huge: animals, plants, geometric shapes, food, flowers. Instead of special molds for home soap making, you can take baking molds or even children's molds from sand sets. As for the material, it is preferable to choose a mold made of silicone or plastic. Rubber options are also suitable. It is better not to use glass and ceramics, because it is extremely difficult to get the soap mass out of such forms.

Important! The use of iron products is strictly prohibited, as an unexpected chemical reaction may occur during which the product will become hazardous to health.

Soap with tea and coconut oil

Soap with tea and coconut oil will not only be an excellent hygiene product, but also a great gift. To create it, prepare:

To prevent the skin of your hands from losing its external attractiveness, it is recommended to follow the basic rules for caring for the epidermis:

  • Wear gloves when working with soil or washing dishes;
  • after using cleaning agents, wash your hands thoroughly and use a special cream afterwards;
  • use protective equipment when going outside;
  • do not use cosmetic products for hands that contain alcohol or glycerin, as these components draw liquid from the epidermis, which causes dry skin on the hands;
  • follow the rules of proper nutrition and drinking regime, since the condition of the epidermis depends on this;
  • use special cosmetic preparations for hands;
  • Take baths every 7 days;
  • Massage your hands regularly as this improves blood circulation;
  • Use a hand scrub weekly to rid the epidermis of dead skin cells.

Special component

But it is important to remove air bubbles that formed in the mass during the cooking process. As a rule, they collect on the surface of the bar. Natural alcohol will help with this. It should be sprayed on top after pouring the soap into the mold.

Homemade soap making has become especially important during quarantine. Why not please yourself and your loved ones by preparing such a fragrant detergent? You can involve children in the process. Let them appreciate the beauty of this magic!

What is usually added to body scrub soap?

In general, there are quite a lot of useful things in the world around us. Therefore, you can safely add almost any natural product you see. But the following components can be seen especially often in soap:

  • Grapes have long been famous for their antioxidant properties. Therefore, soap with the addition of its seeds perfectly tones the skin and cleanses it of various harmful particles.
  • Shea butter, of course, is not as easy to get as the previous candidate for getting into soap, but if your skin is depleted and needs more nutrients, then you can’t find anything better than it.
  • Sesame oil is also considered quite beneficial. Therefore, if you want to restore your fresh appearance, delay old age, smooth out wrinkles and make your skin soft to the touch again, like in childhood, then you cannot find a better remedy.
  • Almond oil is ideal for damaged skin. It will not only carefully wash away all the dirt and cleanse, but also soothe painful sensations, relieve inflammation and itching.
  • If your skin suffers from dryness and dehydration, then there is nothing better than a homemade coffee scrub soap. It will not only relieve the unpleasant feeling, but also moisturize and return it to normal. It will also help with symptoms such as itching and flaking.
  • Green tea also helps in rejuvenation by stimulating cell regeneration processes. Or, in simple terms, young skin quickly takes over old, dead and already worn-out skin.

There can be a great variety of components. And, of course, not all natural beneficial components are listed above. Their list can be continued endlessly. Some people add sugar to the scrub, others add rose petals. This is a kind of creation of elixirs and potions that help women maintain an attractive appearance.

Why is a scrub made from baby soap preferable or how to choose a base?

But if we have finally figured out the additional element, all that remains is to choose the soap, which we will later turn into a scrub.

Of course, it is clear that if we are going to make a completely healthy product, something cheap will not do. Chemicals that cleanse our skin also not only remove impurities, but also harm it, destroying and drying it out. And only then, with the growth of popularity, the manufacturer begins to think about the quality of the product. Therefore, for a high-quality scrub, something expensive is suitable. But what's the point of saving money on a purchase if a good foundation is expensive?

One of the cheapest and at the same time gentle on the skin is baby soap. Here, manufacturers carefully monitor the quality of their goods. After all, the delicate skin of little ones reacts sensitively to everything. So why not make your own scrub soap from baby soap?

You can follow the proportions, or you can come up with your own: it all depends on what consistency you need to achieve and how much scrub you want to get.

Tips and tricks

To avoid overdoing it and harming your skin, follow a number of rules when using home recipes:

  • Don't scrub your skin every day - too often breaking the protective layer leads to flaking skin due to its dryness. It will be enough 2 times a week to achieve a tightening and healing effect.
  • It is better to scrub and exfoliate your body before going to bed. Having lost its protective lipid layer along with keratinized cells, the skin becomes very vulnerable to external influences. If you go outside immediately after scrubbing, you can create new problems for yourself. So let your skin recover overnight.
  • Consider your skin type. Not all homemade body scrubs are suitable for sensitive or breakout-prone skin. Dry skin should not be exposed to burning ingredients; it needs scrubs with cream, sour cream, and yogurt.
  • In winter you need to use scrubs less often than in summer.

Already using homemade body scrubs?

Not really

  • You need to use body scrubs – homemade or store-bought – correctly, depending on your skin type. So, oily skin needs scrubbing weekly, dry skin – once every two weeks.
  • A contraindication to the use of any scrubs is the presence of skin diseases (psoriasis, dermatitis), as well as allergic reactions, irritated skin.
  • Before scrubbing, the skin should be steamed. You can do this by taking a hot bath. From open pores, the scrub will better clean out all impurities and fat accumulation.

Ask a Question

For scrubs, as for any other cosmetics used for the first time, it is necessary to conduct a test for reaction and sensitivity (the same one when a little product is first applied to the crook of the elbow or wrist).

Any homemade scrub must contain oils - they are responsible for moisturizing and the ability to “spread” the scrub on the body, and solid particles that will have a mechanical effect - clean off dead cells, accumulations of fat, and sweat. It is important that these particles are small. The remaining ingredients in home recipes are additional nutrition for the skin.

How to use?

For a homemade hand scrub to be beneficial, it is recommended to use the product in compliance with the following rules:

  • before using the product, it is recommended to do a test for allergic reactions - for this, a small amount of scrub is applied to a small area of the epidermis on the wrist, left for 15 minutes, the product can be used only if there is no redness of the skin, itching or burning;
  • The product is used to treat hands and elbows;
  • after applying the product, perform a massage for 5 minutes;
  • the scrub is left on the skin of the hands like a mask for 10-15 minutes, after which it is washed off with water;
  • after the procedure, moisturizer is applied to the epidermis;
  • Apply hand scrub weekly.
